What We Do

myCTO is dedicated to helping small businesses evaluate and select the right software to run their businesses more profitably. We act as a “Chief Technology Officer” to small companies, giving them access to the same quality of research and analysis available to larger companies.

We keep a close eye on the industry to make sure our information is current. Each product is thoroughly investigated and the vendor’s claims are verified through actual use of the software. We then present this information to our customers in a usable, business-friendly format, using as little technical jargon as possible.

What We Don’t Do

Our free articles and downloadable reports contain concise, objective, up-to-date information about software products of interest to our customers. We do not create, market, or sell software. We do not have any financial interest in the products our customers may decide to purchase. And we don’t claim to know which specific product is the right choice for a specific company. Instead, myCTO is the one place our customers can go to get the unbiased information they need to make the most informed choice possible.

Company Background

The idea behind myCTO – that small companies deserve the same quality of technology research as large companies – grew out of our more than 20 years of technology consulting at large corporations. When asked by a small HVAC company in 2004 to do a software evaluation, we realized how valuable this information would be for other field service companies. By leveraging our expertise through the enormous reach of the Internet, we’re now able to offer this information to a nationwide market.
